How to make money with GV Prospector

This tool is a machine that puts qualified CPG leads in front of you every morning. Your job is to read the signal, pick the right channel, and start a conversation that ends with a paid pilot. What follows is how.

How to read a prospect

Every prospect has an ICP score from 0 to 10. That number is your decision tree.

The priority tier system
ICP score → action
P0Urgent9.0 – 10
Call today. 24-hour window.
Active recall, crisis, or equivalent. Kiran personally reviews.
P1This Week7.0 – 8.9
LinkedIn + email this week.
Strong fit + timing trigger. Sales rep claims it.
P2Sequence5.0 – 6.9
Apollo nurture.
Good fit, no urgency. Re-check in 30 days.
P3Monitor0 – 4.9
Archive. Don't waste time.
Weak fit. Re-scores when a new signal fires.
NoteBar width ∝ average engagement rate per tier. Skip P3 unless a new signal elevates the score.

The five drawer tabs, in order of usefulness

01
Overview

The scoring rationale is the single most valuable block in the entire app. Read it twice before you call. It tells you why this company scored what it did — and that is your opener.

02
Regulatory

Your edge. No other tool tells you a prospect ships in 12 markets with “Reduced Fat” claims across 48 SKUs. Use specifics verbatim. Mirror compliance pain points back on the call.

03
Contacts

Pick one decision maker. Director of Regulatory, VP of Quality, Head of Compliance, or CMO/CEO for smaller brands. Pushing 7 LinkedIn requests from the same company gets the Prosp account flagged.

04
Brief

Your pre-call cheat sheet. Trigger, why-now, recommended angle. Read it on the way to your desk. Skip to the Email tab if you already know this prospect.

05
Email

A draft. Not final. See section 04 for the rewrite discipline.

03

The three-channel play

LinkedIn, email, and phone. Sequenced over 14 days. This is what separates us from a rep blasting 200 identical emails.

LinkedIn · Prosp
Best for P0 / P1
Reply rate
12%
Volume cap
15-20 / day
Highest response. Feels personal. Works for non-email-users.
Daily connection limit on LinkedIn. Don't burn the account.
Email · Smartlead
Best for P1 / P2
Reply rate
2-4%
Volume cap
50 / day / domain
Scales. Reaches decision-makers who aren't on LinkedIn.
Deliverability dies fast on cold domains. Warming is mandatory.
Phone
Best for P0 only
Reply rate
~25%
Volume cap
8-12 connects
CPG decision-makers still answer. Crisis calls convert fast.
Don't leave voicemails. Dial twice in 24h, then email.
Apollo Nurture
Best for P2 / P3
Reply rate
1-2%
Volume cap
Unlimited
Runs itself. Catches leads that weren't ready the first time.
Generic templates. Don't use for P0/P1 — they deserve better.

The 14-day multi-touch sequence

Day0
Connection request via Prosp
Short note referencing the regulatory signal. Not the product.
Day2
Cold email via Smartlead
Only if LinkedIn isn't accepted. Reference same signal, different angle.
Day5
Follow-up message
They've seen your name twice. Ask one specific question.
Day10
Call (P0/P1 only)
CPG decision-makers still answer phones.
Day14
Move to P2 nurture
Don't force. Wait for the next signal.
04

The email draft is a starting point

Every P0/P1 prospect comes with a Claude-generated cold email. It's meant to save you the blank page, not replace your judgment.

What the generator already does

  • 01Bans 20+ AI-tell phrases (“hope you're well,” “unlock,” “leverage”)
  • 02Caps body at 80-140 words
  • 03Uses low-friction CTAs (“worth a quick look?”)
  • 04Labels hypotheses honestly (“I'm guessing...”) when data is thin
  • 05Runs a final self-check before producing output

What YOU do before sending

  • 01Read it out loud. If you wouldn't say it in person, rewrite it.
  • 02Personalise the opener with a LinkedIn/web detail the model can't see.
  • 03Cut any line that doesn't add specificity. Meaning-preserved = deletable.
  • 04Match the subject to the opener. Generic subjects die on arrival.
  • 05Sign with real name + role + phone. Anonymous emails are dead.
If the email shows a “fallback template” tag, the Claude generation failed and you're looking at a bland placeholder. Rewrite it from scratch. Don't ship it.
05

Talking points that actually close CPG deals

GoVisually wins in a handful of specific conversations. Learn to steer toward them.

They say

We use ChatGPT for label checks already.

You say
  • ChatGPT is a chat window. GoVisually is a system of record.
  • Your FDA audit trail lives in our platform, not in chat history.
  • We check the actual label file — we know FDA nutrition facts, EU 1169/2011, GCC/GSO, FSANZ.
  • ChatGPT doesn't track who approved which version of the label before it shipped. We do.
They say

We already use GlobalVision / PageProof / Artwork Flow / Ziflow.

You say
  • Those are great for print QC or creative review — none do AI regulatory compliance.
  • You still need a human to know 21 CFR 101.9. We do that automatically.
  • Most teams run us alongside those tools, not instead of.
They say

We're expanding to MENA / Gulf region.

You say
  • We won the Gulf Food Dubai Startup Challenge — 19+ publications covered it.
  • We have specific playbooks for GCC/GSO 2055 and UAE ESMA requirements.
  • We're hiring in the region and have early paying customers there.
They say

Budget is tight this year.

You say
  • One recalled SKU across 12 markets costs more than 3 years of GoVisually.
  • We'll start you with a pilot on one product line — prove it pays for itself.
  • The real cost is the time your regulatory team spends on manual review today. Ask them how many hours per month.

The funnel math

What healthy looks like. If your numbers sit below these for two weeks, something's wrong — and it's fixable.

Healthy conversion ranges · by stage
0% → 100%
Enriched → Qualified65% – 75%
The Claude scorer is tuned correctly
Qualified → Contacted85% – 95%
You're actually running outreach
Contacted → Reply8% – 15%
Email + LinkedIn combined
Reply → Meeting30% – 40%
Good conversation quality
Meeting → Pilot35% – 50%
Fit is real, not just polite
Pilot → Closed-won50% – 70%
Pilot delivers on the value prop
Below the healthy range for two weeks? Usually one of three things: Smartlead deliverability dropped, Prosp's LinkedIn account is in cooldown, or ICP scoring drifted because signal quality dropped. Flag Kiran.
07

When to escalate

Don't be a hero. Five triggers for pulling Kiran in.

01
Fortune 500 / $500M+ CPG
Kiran handles the first meeting personally.
02
Pilot terms, custom pricing, procurement
Don't negotiate alone.
03
Active FDA recall or lawsuit mentioned
Urgency + legal sensitivity = senior leadership.
04
Competitor entrenched (GlobalVision, Ziflow, Esko)
Kiran has specific talking points for each.
05
ACV over $25K
Celebrate first, then escalate for the contract.
